Favorite Pokémon picker FAQ
How does the favorite Pokémon picker work?
It is a knockout bracket: you see two Pokémon, pick the one you like more, and the other is out. The full run splits the 151 originals into three qualifying brackets by Pokédex number (#001 to #050, #051 to #100 and #101 to #151), then the top 4 from each meet in a final.
How long does it take?
All 151 takes about 159 picks, a few minutes if you go with your gut. A quick pick is 31 picks, and one stretch of the Pokédex is 49 or 50.
Which Pokémon are included?
All 151 Generation I Pokémon from Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow, in National Pokédex order, from Bulbasaur (#001) to Mew (#151). Later generations are not included yet.
Why are there no pictures?
Pokémon artwork belongs to Nintendo, Game Freak and The Pokémon Company, so the picker shows names and Pokédex numbers only.
Is my result saved?
No. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere. Copy your result before you leave if you want to keep it.
